Keeping Your Pet Safe During Surgery
To evaluate their health and determine appropriate anesthesia levels, all patients must undergo a physical exam and blood work prior to dog or cat surgery. If results show an underlying problem, surgery will be postponed.
Our animal hospital is equipped with the most up-to-date surgical monitoring tools for:
- SpO2 (oxygen saturation levels)
- ETCO2 (carbon dioxide monitoring)
- Blood pressure
A skilled technician will assist the veterinarian throughout the surgery to check all vitals and make sure your pet is comfortable. After the procedure, your pet will be monitored by personalized recovery staff until they are awake and able to stand on their own. In the following days, we will get in touch with you to make sure your pet's recovery is going smoothly.
We would be more than happy to talk with you in person about your dog or cat's surgery and answer any questions you have. Give us a call at (734) 847-6751 to schedule a consultation with your veterinarian.
